Eastern Cape Police spokesperson, Thembinkosi Kinana explained the gruesome scene they found in the murder of Nosicelo Mtebeni, Kinana said some body parts were packed separately in a suitcase and plastic bags.
“The SAPS members were alerted to this particular incident by the members of the community who apparently saw the fat suitcase in the corner, when the police arrived at this particular scene they indeed witnessed the incident,” Kinana explained earlier on to eNCA’s Masego Rahlaga.
“A young girl was murdered with some of the body parts believed to be has were packed in a suitcase by the suspect,” he added.
Kinana said the SAPS intelligence helped to find the suspect who further took the police to the house where some of the body parts were found.
EBNewsDaily reported earlier this week that an LLB final year student at Fort Hare University named Nosicelo Mtebeni (23) was allegedly killed by her boyfriend. The event trended in most part of Fridays with more social media users calling for Justice for Nociselo Mtebeni.
The alleged killer who is known to be her boyfriend (25) was arrested and will appear at East London Magistrate’s Court tomorrow Monday.
“His arrest and subsequent appearance in court tomorrow we say must be seen as one step towards the right direction and the trust is for the affected family,” said Thembinkosi Kinana.
A petition to stop a possibility of bail in tomorrow’s proceedings in court when the suspect apparently had already picked up thousands of signatures on Sunday morning.
