As things get tense for Chiefs, supporters believe the problem is with the coach Steve Komphela and he must resign, meanwhile other have a view that the problem is with players and Chiefs did not buy quality players. This however doesn't seem to be the management's view. Last match against Chippa United, Steve had to be escorted off the pitch after a rattling 3:1 defeat by the "Chilli Boys" since fans were throwing objects aimed at him. Chiefs also booted their team by securing Joseph Molangoane to join the Glamour Boys.
Kompela took the team from former coach Stuart Baxter after Baxter left Chiefs in May, 2015. Since then, Chiefs performance has been always questionable. The teams also lost many players after Baxter's resignation.  Chiefs rivals Orlando Pirates also did not find a better start of the season, which even led to their coach Muhsin Ertugral resignation after a wounding 6-1 defeat by SuperSport united early November.

Steve doesn't seems ready to resign despite the results and the views of the fans. Post match after Chippa United's defeat, Kompela's comments were;
"Victory has many fathers, and defeat is an orphan"
